Black aquarium sand, charcoal black, shines under light creating gorgeous interior of the aquarium. Due to its specific gravity, it is considerably heavier than other sand and it's harder to stir it up (stays on the bottom). This black sand is inert and will not change the water quality in your aquarium. For that reason, it can be used with many aquarium fish and shrimp. The size of grains is small, but very defined, grainy, and uniform with crystalline structure. Washed, clean from dust, stays compact at the bottom of the tank. We tried it in our small shrimp tank and it looks gorgeous. Weight - 10 oz. Made in USA. To be used for aquarium hobby submerged in the water.
