Rose Garland Oval China Vegetable Bowl & Lid Austria Vienna MUNICH
This antique Count Thun oval covered
vegetable bowl / dish with lid is in excellent condition. It was made between
1890 and 1908 at Count Thun’s porcelain factory in Klasterec, Austria. The mark
shown was used by 4 different New York distributors, P.H. Leonard (who used the
mark first before 1898), Charles L. Dwenger (who used the mark 2nd), the Paul
A. Straub Company (who used the mark 3rd) and Bawo & Dotter.
Marks – The Munich – Vienna Austria (on
the bottom).
Measurements – Roughly 11-7/8” (from
handle to handle); 6-5/8 wide; 3” deep (without lid): 5-1/2” tall to the
top of the lid.
Material/Color – Glossy white china with
a delicate pale pink & green rose floral pattern. Gold trim with a
ribbon of embossed small white lines around the outer edge.
Condition
Note (CYA): This is a vintage pre-owned item. There will be some scuffs,
scrapes, scratches, wear & imperfections from years of use. This piece is
in very nice used vintage condition. No chips, cracks, flea bites or crazing.
There is a bit of gold loss on the fine details.
This will be a wonderful addition to
anyone's kitchen collection or for daily use.
